Kaws (1974-), graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York. He also began his career as a graffiti artist subverting imagery on billboards, bus shelters and phone booth advertisements. Plus, he often collaborates with classic cartoons figures. His artworks include toys, paintings, sketches and sculptures. The figures always show “XX” on their eyes. His works caused a sensation when they were exhibited throughout the world. Recently, he has held an exhibition in Yuz museum in Shanghai which is the biggest exhibition in Asia. KAWS has done work in Paris, London, Berlin and Tokyo. Now he is one of the artists of Perrotin Gallery in Paris.
