Murakami Takashi (1962-), born in Japan and graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts, is the founder of ‘Superflat Art’. He had held a large-scale retrospective ‘©MURAKAMI’ at MOCA, Brooklyn Museum and Guggenheim Museum Bilbao and exhibited his works at Louvre Museum in 2010. He was chosen as one of influencing people in 2008. Now he is presented by Perrotin Gallery in Paris.
