Art without borders── Animal Crossing: New Horizons

During quarantine, people spend most of their time at home. Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which is a video game developed and published by Nintendo, becomes a new alternative for people to connect with friends and bring huge entertainment to them.

After a recent update, the game has put in some artistic elements. The owner of the deserted island can now plan a museum area on the island. Also, the owner can experience artwork trades that have a high similarity to reality. In the game, Crazy Redd is in charge of the selling of art, however, they need to take risk of buying a fake product. There are rules like fake product cannot resale and only one transaction can be done each day. It is reported that "Mona Lisa", " The Kitchen Maid ", "Vitruvian Man", " Liberty Leading the People ", "The Blue Boy", " Lady with an Ermine ", Van Gogh "Sunflower" and "Starry Night" are now available. 

Buyers should remind counterfeit contains various versions, for example, "Girl with a Pearl Earring" has two versions, one is wearing an earring in a star shape and another one is earring in star shape plus her eye closed. Buyers are hard to distinguish authenticity as work may be slightly different from the picture found in the search engine on the internet. There are all kinds of fakes, from oil paintings to carvings, in all forms.

Although counterfeit cannot resale, it has mysterious and fun interactive effects. Weird things happened on the fake "Girl with a Pearl Earring". The girl will open her eyes in the afternoon. The fake "Female Edo Bingwei" will change his facial expression from time to time. The counterfeits use such an atypical art aesthetics to build its value in the game.

If the player wants to invite Crazy Redd to your island, you must first talk to Blathers about planning a museum area. Then Crazy Redd is going to show up on the following day. Animal Crossing adds many interesting plots and scenes. Also, players can make their own adjustments according to the pace, no wonder they can be popular in the world in a short time.
