Zhou Chun-Ya (1955-), born in Chongqing and graduated from Kassel Academy of Fine Arts in Germany in 1988. Zhou Chunya is acclaimed as a representative of the combination of Chinese Painting and Neo-expressionism. His works derived from life and personal emotion. His famous works series include Peach Flower, Sheep shearing and Green Dog. Zhou was invited to show on several international exhibitions, such as a collateral event for the 53rd Biennale di Venezia; ALORS, LA CHINE? at Centre Pompidou in 2003.
