Wonder Foto Day 2019

Founded in 2016, "Wonder Foto Day", this highly recommended international photography exchange exhibition has entered its fourth year this year.

Wonder Foto Day 2019 was curated by founder and curator Fang Yen-Wen, together with Yang Ya-Siang. 13 jury and artists from Taiwan, Japan, France, Italy, China and Singapore were invited to select works from 378 artists, 120 artists from 11 countries including Taiwan, Japan, Korea, Cambodia, Thailand were selected to participate in this photographic art exchange exhibition. Up to 13 awards were established this year.

This year, the venue of this exhibition will be twice as large as last year in Songshan Cultural and Creative Park. In addition to the "Wonder Foto Day" booth where the artists have unlimited creativity in used of the limited space, this year the organizer also curates several programmes such as the "T3 Photo Festival Tokyo International Art Festival", Japanese photographer and director Wakagi Shingo's solo exhibition, independent photography book publisher zone, Wacom x BenQ x uPrint and "#BeStar special exhibition" SAMSUNG Galaxy The S10 series and others, in addition to a series of talks.

In addition to the Wonder Foto Day 2019 in Songshan Cultural and Creative Park, the organizer also curated the "Wonder Foto Festival" this year, which expanded the exhibition venue to more than 20 locations in Taipei, including Creative Park, art space, bookstore, cafe, fashion stores, and the Chenghuang Temple in Dadaocheng. Wonder Foto Festival selected urban space-based photography to present this year's theme – showing the fascination of the city through photography and discussing the contact of transformation of today's photographic objects. At that time, the people can enjoy these works in different atmospheres and experience the ideas brought by the artists.
