Keith Haring (1958-1990), American famous pop art/ street art artist, graduated from the School of Visual Arts in New York. He usually created his works on streets, subways, billboards, and nightclubs. With simple but smooth lines, his works are well known around the world. The crawling little guy, flying saucers, and deified dogs repeatedly showed up in his paintings. He uses these images to convey the meanings of lives, freedom, death love and wars to the public. He suffered AIDS, beginning using his works to remind young people of the serious causes of AIDS. Haring's work is in major private and public collections, including the Museum of Modern Art and the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York City, Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, the Ludwig Museum in German.
