Yoshitomo Nara(1959—) is a Japanese contemporary artist, best known for his paintings of children and animals that appear simultaneously innocent and sinister, with large eyes that convey an emotional power. His style is known for Pop art and Superflat art, and his works were collected by MoMA in NY, Museum of Contemporary Art in LA, The British Museum, Museum of Contemporary Art Tokyo, Samsung Leeum Museum in Seoul. Now he is presented by PACE gallery in New York.
